Hi, I'm Tyler. Welcome to my blog!

With 10+ years in software engineering and 5+ years in infrastructure architecture, I design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized platforms. My expertise spans from mobile superapps to high-traffic microservices, seamlessly orchestrating workloads across AWS, Kubernetes, and hybrid on-premise environments. I am also a CNCF Kubestronaut and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.

But beyond the high-level architectures... while everyone is talking about AI, here we still type sysctl, journalctl, cat, grep, ip route... guess and change some kernel configurations then hope it works. I am not entirely sure if it holds value to others anymore, but this is the way. This space is where I dig into how things actually work under the hood, and pay respect to people who built them.

Beyond Work

Endurance sports enthusiast - completed a half marathon (21km) in under 2 hours and occasionally swims 2km. I believe consistency is a journey, not a destination.
